Planting seeds and growing friendships

Spring’s coming — let’s get a jump on the season together. We’ll meet at The Commons at 11:00 AM to start a wide variety of seeds for our gardens. You can plant from the seeds available, trade/swap as desired, and head home with labeled starts ready to grow.

We’ll have potting soil + basic supplies and a mix of seeds on hand. Bring any seeds you want to share (even partial packets are great), plus any containers/trays you’ve got. Beginners are totally welcome — we’ll keep it easy and help each other.

There will be close to 100 varieties of seeds available!

What we’ll do

• Quick welcome + how-to basics (soil, depth, watering, labeling)
• Choose seeds (and swap!)
• Plant, label, and pack your starts
• Quick round of “what are you growing this year?” + gardening tips

Bring (optional but helpful)

• Seeds to swap (open packets welcome)
• Containers: egg cartons, yogurt cups, seed trays, small pots
• Marker + a small box/tote for transport
• A spray bottle if you have one
