This isn't just a permablitz —this is a turning point.

Right now, the alley between The Commons and Seyburn Park is overgrown, underused, and forgotten. But by the end of this one afternoon, we’re going to start turning it into something powerful:

🌻 a blooming path filled with flowers and food

🧘 a future site for peaceful meditations

🤝 a gift to our neighbors and elders

…all built by us, in one Sunday afternoon of volunteer effort and good vibes.

🌾 Brush Busters – Clear the overgrowth

🧹 Litter Legends – Scour for hidden trash

🌼 Flower Planters – Add beauty and color

🌳 Tree Crew – Plant for the future

🛠️ Beautifiers – Add those final flourishes

Whether you’ve got strong arms or a green thumb, there’s a spot for you. Just bring a good attitude, work gloves if you have them, and something to help carry the mission forward.

 🎁What You'll Experience:

• Visit a nascent food forest (17 fruit trees interplanted with perennials like asparagus and strawberries) that is already growing.
• A neighborhood coffees-shop, laundromat, and community center that is at the heart of the project.
• A delicious dinner (grill-out style!) at 4:30 and invitation to join lively discussion on the week's thesis topic.
• A chance to connect with others building a more beautiful Detroit
• That amazing I helped do this feeling
• An invite to join our Abundance Walk later this summer, when we return to this path to walk, meditate, and deliver its harvest to neighborhood elders.
• And if that is too much you can take whatever resonates and leave the rest.
